Software and Hardware

Most of our virtual training sessions are delivered via Cisco’s WebEx software. This is freely available over the internet, and is activated with a quick download when you join your first session.

All you will need to do to join a session is click on the link that is emailed to you just before the session is due to start. This will take you to a web based application that enables you to interact with the facilitators and other attendees.

Very occasionally some users may experience difficulties using WebEx with Safari or Chrome. We recommend using Internet Explorer or Firefox as your browser for our training.

You can access virtual training from any internet-ready device. A laptop, desktop or tablet will all work well.

One additional piece of equipment to help you get the most from your training session is a telephone. You will be given a special telephone number and code that will enable you to dial into the session after you log in to the session webpage. A hands-free telephone (with a headset and microphone) works best of all as it enables you to use your hands to interact on screen.
